Why do you need a credit check for a phone? Aren't there deals for new ones if you get a new 2 year activation and what not? You probably could have bought the phone from them for cheaper if they're gonna charge you $500.

There are alot of cell phone companies doing credit checks if you have bad credit they won't let you sign any contract. I myself want to get my own cell phone plain and get off my moms contract but since i turned 18 i have no credit what i am going to do is buy something with a credit card not to expensive and pay it off once i get the bill so i will have perfect credit.

Yeah but to get the sim card activated with them or some shit you had to pay a deposit.

Yeah I have a job. I can see if they can do that but I don't see how I can even have credit since I only pay a couple bills.

ive got verizon and they didnt run no check on me, if you go to walmart or the verizon store and buy a perpaid phone no credit check. plus everyone i know has verizon and they never had a credit check, there running a deal right now get a 2 year contact and get 2 phones free. or you can get unlimted everything for 69.99

well you dont start out nothing lol. you start out somewhere in the middle and when you have good things your score goes up, and then bad things brings it down. but you don't start from zero and move up... if that was the case then you wouldn't be able to get anything ever. as long as you've never been over 30 days late on a bill then your score should actually be pretty decent, and deffinitly decent enough for them not to charge you a deposit. with just a normal credit score as if you had never had bills you can get a cell phone plan, just don't be suprised if you don't get approved to buy a house right away.

I have cricket they suck, but atleast they dont credit check, come to think of it they dont even ask for a id or ss number lol
